Day 3: John 8:36 FREE

Day 3: John 8:36 FREE

What I Noticed Today...

For years I thought freedom was mostly about what God had rescued me from.

Freedom from guilt.

Freedom from fear.

Freedom from shame.

Those are beautiful gifts of God's grace.

But today I noticed something else.

Jesus didn't simply set us free from something.

He also set us free for something.

Free to walk with Him.

Free to enjoy ordinary moments without constantly carrying yesterday's burdens.

Free to open His Word without feeling like we have to have every answer today.

Sometimes I think we picture freedom as a dramatic moment.

Yet Jesus often shows His freedom in much quieter ways.

A peaceful morning.

A heart no longer racing with worry.

A conversation filled with grace.

A reminder that we don't have to earn what He has already given.

Real freedom isn't always loud.

Sometimes it simply feels like resting in the confidence that Christ has already finished the work.

Today I'm reminded that freedom isn't something I have to chase.

It's Someone I get to walk with.

Where have you experienced the quiet freedom of walking with Christ this week?

Lord,

Thank You for the freedom You purchased for me through Jesus. Help me stop living as though I still have to carry burdens You have already lifted. Teach me to enjoy the simple gifts of Your presence today and to rest in the freedom that only You can give. Help me notice the quiet ways You are working in my life and remember that true freedom is found in walking with You each day.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
