Day 2: John 8:32 TRUTH
Share
What I Noticed Today...
I've always thought of truth as something you learn.
You study it.
You memorize it.
You search for it.
But today I found myself wondering if truth is also something we learn to trust.
Jesus didn't simply say His words were true.
He said the truth would set us free.
That made me stop for a moment.
Maybe freedom doesn't begin when my circumstances change.
Maybe it begins when I finally believe what God says more than what fear says.
Fear tells me I'm not enough.
God says I am His workmanship.
Fear tells me I'll never change.
God says He is faithful to finish the work He started in me.
Fear reminds me of yesterday.
Truth reminds me that His mercies are new every morning.
I realized today that every voice in my life is asking for my attention.
Some voices create anxiety.
Some create doubt.
Some convince me to keep carrying burdens Jesus already asked me to lay down.
But His voice always seems different.
It doesn't shout.
It gently calls me back to what has always been true.
Maybe that's why spending time in God's Word feels different than simply reading another book.
The Bible isn't just giving me more information.
It's quietly reshaping the way I see God, myself, and the world around me.
Today I'm asking the Lord to help me recognize His truth more quickly than I recognize my fears.
Because when His truth becomes louder than my worries...
Freedom follows.
Â
What truth from God's Word do you need to believe today instead of the voice of fear, doubt, or discouragement?
Â
Lord,
Thank You for giving me truth that never changes, even when my feelings and circumstances do. Help me recognize Your voice above every other voice competing for my attention today. Teach me to believe what You say about who You are and who I am in You. Let Your truth shape my thoughts, my words, and my heart so I can walk in the freedom Jesus promised.
Amen.
