Day 1: 2 Corinthians 3:17 FREEDOM

Day 1: 2 Corinthians 3:17 FREEDOM

What I Noticed Today...

For a long time, I thought freedom was mostly about what God had set me free from.

Free from fear.

Free from guilt.

Free from shame.

Those things are wonderfully true.

But lately I've been noticing something different.

Freedom isn't only what God removes.

It's also what He gives.

He gives us the freedom to slow down.

The freedom to notice.

The freedom to enjoy His creation instead of rushing through it.

The freedom to open His Word without feeling like we have to understand everything in one sitting.

Today I found myself thinking about all the quiet things God created that we rarely stop to appreciate.

We admire mountains, waterfalls, whales, and sunsets.

But He also created oxygen.

Plankton.

Tiny seeds.

Blades of grass.

The unseen things that quietly sustain life every single day.

It made me wonder if His work in us is often the same.

Sometimes His greatest work isn't loud.

It's the quiet freedom to become a little more like Christ, one ordinary day at a time.

Maybe freedom looks less like escaping life...

...and more like discovering God has been walking beside us through it all.

So today, I'm asking the Lord to help me notice.

Because where His Spirit is...

There really is freedom.

Where have you experienced God's freedom in an ordinary moment this week?

Lord,

Thank You that Your freedom is not only found in life's extraordinary moments, but also in the ordinary places where You faithfully walk beside me. Help me slow down enough to notice Your presence, Your provision, and Your quiet work in my life today.

Amen.
